When Kevin Smith isn't too busy Twittering about sexual exploits with his wife, he's found time to work on a pair of upcoming Blu-ray titles. One we knew about. The other no one did.

Clerks?!? I really didn't see that one coming. Then again, Clerks II has been out in high definition on HD DVD and Blu-ray for some time now so its only logical the original follows suit.

Chasing Amy was previously released on DVD as part of the Criterion Collection and I'm holding out hope the Blu-ray version will be Criterion handled as well. Clerks, with its shoestring budget grainy black and white photography, is the perfect project for Criterion to masterfully handle.

Hopefully additional information is shared at Comic-Con next week for Chasing Amy and Clerks November debut on Blu-ray. My gut says a Criterion sweep. What do you all think?
