2009 Brickyard 400 Start Time and Qualifying Schedule
2009 Brickyard 400 start time is slated to begin at 11 A.M. Pacific Time (2 P.M. Eastern Time) on Sunday, July 26th. This will be the 16th Allstate 400 at the Brickyard, and will follow a great day of qualifying and practice at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 25th. The Brickyard 400 is one of the most anticipated NASCAR races of the season, and this weekend's race will be no exception.

The Brickyard 400 qualifying day schedule had to be pushed back to a start time of 8:35 A.M. PST in order to deal with a little weather that Indiana was experiencing. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway had some light rain in the early morning hours of the Brickyard 400 qualifying day, forcing the race promoters to adjust the schedule in order to have a dry track later in the day. The NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifications for the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard will run roughly from 8:35 A.M. PST to around 2:30 P.M. PST. This will be the qualifying laps to decide starting positions at Sunday's Brickyard 400.

When the Brickyard 400 qualifying sessions have been completed, the track will be opened up for practice sessions, allowing all those cars that have qualified for a Brickyard 400 starting position to get back out on the track. Brickyard 400 practice is expected to last around 90 minutes, but could be extended a little further if the weather doesn't allow a clean qualifying session. All this will get the NASCAR drivers ready for an exciting Brickyard 400 scheduled to start at 11:00 A.M. Pacific Time with National television coverage. It should be an exciting day of racing, primed by how well the qualifying rounds turn out.
