Whenever a married high-profile person is rumored to be having an affair, you can get your bottom dollar that the alleged object of their forbidden affections is going to be the hottest ticket on Google for at least a day. Hence, Rachel Uchitel is a rather popular girl this morning and her pictures are very much in demand.

So, who is Rachel Uchitel and why is she rumored to be having an affair with Tiger Woods? According to SportsbyBrooks, Rachel Uchitel is a 34-year-old "party girl" from New York City. In addition, Rachel Uchitel reportedly had an affair with actor David Boreanaz, who stars in the Fox TV series "Bones."

SportsbyBrooks reports that, according to the National Enquirer, Rachel Uchitel was in Melbourne, Australia while Tiger Woods was playing in the Australian Masters and one of her acquaintances, Ashley Samson, has confirmed that Rachel Uchitel and Tiger Woods are having a relationship.

At this point, it is important to remember that Tiger Woods is rumored to be having an affair with New York party girl Rachel Uchitel. Time will tell if there is any truth to the rumor.

If the alleged affair between Rachel Uchitel and Tiger Woods does turn out to be true, however, it will certainly tarnish Tiger Woods' sterling reputation. Tiger Woods, 33, is an American icon whose accomplishments in the staid sport of golf are staggering.

It would also be hard to understand why Tiger Woods would want to cheat on his beautiful wife - Swedish model Elin Nordegren, with whom he has two young children. Of course, the same thing can be said of former CNN sports analyst Steve Phillips, whose extramarital affair with Brooke Hundley has been confirmed. Many are baffled that Steve Phillips would see fit to betray his beautiful wife Marni Phillips by rolling in the hay with Brooke Hundley, an emotionally unstable young woman.

What are the allegations and the response?

First the National Enquirer’s Dec. 7 issue claims Tiger Woods and Rachel Uchitel may have had a 2009 affair driven by alleged meetings in New York, Las Vegas and Australia. Australia? That is the location of Woods’ recent Australian Masters.

The magazine writes:

“When confronted, Rachel insisted she was in Melbourne on business and denied carrying on an affair with Woods. Rachel also claimed that she’d traveled toAustralia with a boyfriend. In a later conversation however, she admitted to THE ENQUIRER she had lied about going to Australia with a boyfriend.” The Enquirer stated an unnamed source for Woods “vehemently denied an affair” adding “the golfer may have been at the same nightclub as Rachel at some point.“

And what is Uchitel’s response?

Rachel Uchitel late Friday responded to the Enquirer’s claims calling them false.

“I don’t appreciate my name or what people think of me being dragged through the mud by people who don’t even bother to research what or who they’re talking about … they should research who these stories are coming from, who they’re believing as a credible source. Not to mention that it’s in theNational Enquirer.”

Yet, online reaction Friday notes the Enquirer’s success with the John Edwards affair story.

“I totally deny the Enquirer story. They did contact me about it, but they didn’t use any of my quotes or any of the information I gave them. They make it sound like I said those things, but it’s all other people saying I said things.”

Second, what does the Star Magazine claim?

The Star claimed Uchitel met Woods when she worked as an event planner and the director of VIP Operations for the Big Apple hotspot Griffin. The source ofthe Star’s allegations reportedly was Rachel’s “friend” Ashley Sampson. Sampson reportedly tells the publication:

“In June, she told me, ‘Tiger Woods is blowing up my phone messages!’ Tiger thinks Rachel is staying quiet about their affair, but she told everyone. She told me, ‘I’m having an affair withTiger Woods . We’re in love!’ … I’ve heard him while she was talking to him on the phone and I recognized the voice. I said, ‘Rachel, he’s married,’ and she said Big (bleeping) deal! It’sTiger Woods. I don’t care about his wife! we’re in love!’ “

“He’d ask Rachel things like, ‘What are you wearing? What do you want to do to me? What do you want me to do to you?’ She even read me text messages that Tiger sent her that said, ‘I miss you so much! I love you’.”

A separate source claimed to tell the magazine: “I know for a fact that Tiger and Rachel got together for four days in Los Angeles. She talks about their affair all the time. She thinks Tiger is going to leave his wife and marry her.”

What is Uchitel’s response to the Star?

“On Ashley Samson, the “close friend” of Uchitel’s who provided all the information to the Enquirer, along with another unnamed source, both of whom supposedly “passed” a polygraph: “I’ve met her twice in my life. We’re not friends. I’m just speculating but it seems like someone else is telling her what to say or manipulating her. After all, she got $25,000 for this.” “

The website Blackbookmag.com had a quote from Uchitel previously:
